React Spotify Client

React Spotify Client project preview

A customizable Spotify web player with playback, lyrics, theme switching, and optional profanity filtering.

Inspiration

Spotty is a Spotify web player built with React, Node, Express, and Spotify's playback SDK. I made it to learn API integration and to explore a lighter, more customizable interface for a music service I use.

Features

  • Secure Spotify account login
  • Browse and search songs, albums, and artists
  • Dark, light, City Lights, and Spotify Green themes
  • Playback for songs, albums, and playlists
  • Lyrics with optional profanity filtering

Technologies

The client uses React, backed by Node.js and Express, with Spotify's Web API and Playback SDK for catalog and streaming functionality.
