The problem with closed educational platforms

Proprietary learning platforms can disappear, change pricing, or ignore their users. If students provide the source material, they should not have to pay indefinitely to see it transformed into useful study formats.

Dojang is an open-source alternative centered on curriculum-specific data rather than generic generated lessons.

The plan

Embed the learner's exact study material
Generate interactive flashcards and mock exams
Create grounded summaries and explanations
Build a CDN layer that works cleanly with vector databases

Current status

The vector integration is working, while product development is temporarily paused. The next milestones are the question-generation pipeline, an intuitive study dashboard, and a complete open-source release.
